Les Voyageurs. Un temps de rêve - Grégoire Korganow
Les Voyageurs. Un temps de rêve is a performative and participatory project, combining encounters, life expriences, documentary writing, dance and film captation during a residency in the month of July 2018 at the heart of the nursing home Le Nouveau Prieuré in Geneva. It's outcome will take the form of an experimental film by the artist Grégoire Korganow.
The project is based on the specific identity of Le Nouveau Prieuré: a vibrant, plural, open and intergenerational place. It strives to offer, through the artist’s immersion in the nursing home, an emotional porosity between all the different communities living on site. This sensitive journey through their living space will be shared between all residents: the elderly, people with multiple disabilities of the Clair Bois Foundation, the children from the child care centre, volunteer students and collaborators working there.
Gregoire Korganow will invite residents to share their dreams. The artist will develop ways to make people enter in resonance with each other, to mirror the aspirations of all generations. He will collaborate with dancer-choreographer Ioannis Mandafounis: his dancers, Anastasia Ivanova et Pierre Piton, will dance to incarnate the collected dreams and build bridges between all the different departments and buildings of the site. The dancers will physically translate some of the dreams, and interact with people whose situations prevent them from expressing themselves, whether orally or with their bodies.
The film Les Voyageurs. Un temps de rêve will be presented at Le Nouveau Prieuré in January 2019. The first public projection will take place on March 5th 2019 at the Alhambra.
This project is supported by FLUXUM Foundation and Carigest SA, in the name of a generous donor, with the participation of the institution Le Nouveau Prieuré, the Bureau Central d’Aide Social, the Foyer de la Fondation Clair Bois, the child care centre Espace de Vie Enfantine de la commune de Chêne-Bougeries, and Flux Laboratory.
