Lille Métropole Museum of Modern Art, Contemporary Art and Art Brut proposes in collaboration with Fluxum Foundation, a new version of its exhibition Danser Brut presented last autumn in Villeneuve-D'ascq (France). This unprecedented and transversal look on dance, inspired by art brut, but also contemporary art and cinema, questions artworks through the prism of gesture and movement.

The exhibition will strive to investigate the body’s modes of expressivity which can appear as enslaved, even alienated, while simultaneously also as forms of support for emancipation, for liberation. The exhibition will set out to shed light on an invisible dimension, made of gestures both ordinary and extraordinary.

With the works of:
Yüksel Arslan, Marga Berra Zubieta, Ulrich Bleiker, Jean-Martin Charcot, Charlie Chaplin, Catherine Contour, Merce Cunningham, André Deed, Fernand Deligny, Martine Deyres, Valeska Gert, Karlheinz Hein, Emile Josome Hodinos, Janmari, Albert londe, Maguy Marin, Gianfranco Mingozzi, Vaslav Nijinski, Lucile Notin-Bourdeau, Georg Wilhelm Pabst, Arnulf Rainer, ...
